X4 Tyre Change
Bit the bullet and decided to change out the 20" Pirelli PZero Run-Flats for Vredestein Ultrac Vorti non Run-Flats. it seems the X5 lads have had success with these taking the jittery edge off while improving handling.....
Won't have them for a week, but will post when I've tried them out. |

Chopper 45: I checked test by Auto Express: overall winner was Continental Conti Contact 5.
Best handling in dry has Vredestein Ultrac Vorti - with a narrow margin. I think that you will get better comfort with non-run flats. Best of luck- but don`t drive too fast in the wet |

New Tyres on and oh what a difference.... The ride comfort is so much better but not only that I definitely feel that the X4 is more settled in bends and inspires more confidence.. A great result :-)

@chopper45
I too am about to buy a demo msport version (with 20" wheels). I love the look, but would be much happier if the car had not the sport suspensions. How better is Your ride now without RF tyres? Need Your help |

I had the chance to test drive an XLine version and a demo Msport version (with sport suspensions), and found the MSport way too nervous and stiff.
I am considering buying the demo (the discount is very inviting), but needed to find a confirmation on a not too expensive way of softening up the handling and the confort. |

You are right, Jypsie.
Thing is, at least here in Italy, all Msport demos have sport suspensions. Not a single MSport demo with EDC or normal suspension... Given such situation, the comparison is between Xline and MSport. |
