I took my 28i in today to check the oil level sensor malfunction light that has gone on twice in the last couple of weeks. Both times, it didn't go on again when I restarted the car. Oil level still shows full after 6,000 miles. I'm wondering whether I can trust the sensor. Also, there was no fault found on the key reader when I took it in this morning. What was the problem with the old fashioned dipstick again?

Not sure but seemingly only a problem in the US as in the UK and other markets we have a dipstick to complement the iDrive reading. If I read it in the future and it's nearer half, I'll post some pictures showing if they tally up
