Clicking in steering with engine off
I'm getting a clicking noise in the steering with the engine off. Doesn't happen with the engine running and it's just a noise, I don't feel anything like you would with a loose ball joint or something like that.
Anyone else have this issue?

It's not something I normally do, I was just checking if the new H&R sport springs I had installed were done correctly (making sure nothing was loose) and noticed the sound.

I also found that mine clicked as though there was play in one of the column joints. I think it is quite high up on the steering column under the dash. I had started to get paranoid about it!

The clicking noise is from the circular nut with alot of teeth within the steering column.
Thus letting you know that the steering lock is engaged.
