BMW Wheel Alignment
Hey Guys,
I'm nearing almost 10k miles on my n20 F25. As i went for service for my squiking noise on my roof, my SA recommended a Wheel alignment for 189.00. I was wondering if that is a fair price or im about to get screwed. Thanks ! |

Is there any unexpected tire wear or handling issue to suggest that you might need a wheel alignment? If not, then you already know the answer to your question, no matter what the price is.

In handling wise, i know for a fact that when you let go of the steering wheel, the car tends to go slightly left. Typical to any cars. Thanks! |

If you have 10k on your tires and never had them rotated. My suggestion is to rotate your tires. I rotate mine every 5k. This will probably take care of your pull to the left. A independent allignment shop cost me $89.

I do have the M-Sport Pkg, 245/40/19 Front and 245/45/19 Rears. I'm kinda not sure if it's a good idea to rotate tires that have a different aspect ratio/sidewalls. |

You can't rotate the staggered set. I had an alignment issue and they charged me the same (or really close) price. Seemed high to me, but they did a good job. Not sure if their equipment is any better than some other places, but it produced a report on the angle/adjustment of all the parameters of each wheel that allowed them to adjust everything back into the proper range.

And there's nothing magical about alignments that only dealers can do best, except that the shop needs to know what they are doing. |

Ah, gotcha, read the numbers too fast and thought they were the staggered ones. Rotating them doesn't strike me as such a good idea, for whatever that's worth!
