What to do ?
Ok, so I love my 2013 X3. 4 months and 4400 miles, It's been everything I thought it would be. I have it on a 3 year BMWNA lease and I'm happy with what I'm paying too. HOWEVER, I am kicking myself hard everyday that I didn't get the M Sport and Enhanced audio. Should I just be happy with what I have ? Should I open the door about something else with the dealer (who was pretty good) Uggh !

I don't know how you'd get out of that lease without spending big $$$.
You could put it on swapalease or leasetrader and see if anyone bites on it. Still, you'd take a financial hit doing so. It'd probably be cheaper to buy the ///MSport parts and mod your existing X3. But, you'd have to put it back to stock when the lease is up. Or, you could give your existing X3 to your wife/kid/parents and go get another. Once again... pricey option! So.... I'd just try to enjoy what you have. I'm sure adding a subwoofer or amp might help pump up that audio a bit and satisfy you that way.

Everyday on this forum I read posts about how great a certain feature / engine is and I think that must be great or wished I'd ordered that.
At the time of order, I tried to justify to myself to pay the extra for the 3.0d and a few more goodies. At the day end - I could only justify so much, trying my best to let my head rule my heart! Like most forum members, hours were spent looking at brochures / configurators / dealerships pouring over the details.... My advice is this - get down to your dealer ASAP and discuss how much $$$ it will cost you to change. If its too much, make a list of all of the M sport stuff that you dont like and convince yourself that you really don't need it! If you can afford it - life's too short for regrets!

Argh, I'm in a the same situation right now. It's likely tomorrow is the last day where I can still change my order, and I;m having a hard time deciding the 'need' for some of the gizmos...
And yeah, I realize that if I don't make the call tomorrow, I might regret it for years :/

Hey, just be happy on what you have right now.
There is an x3 LCi on testing, the good news is that, the M-sport will have some styling enhancements and plus a next generation Navi with a touch pad. So I would say, you are lucky because I financed my car instead of leasing it.

This thread is the reason why I only go for 2 year financing- more expensive then 3 or 4 years plans but worth it :-). Upgraded audio is an option I missed on my X3, along with the shade band on the windscreen... grrrrr
I'm glad I did stretch to the 30d- agree with the comment,'If you can afford it - life's too short for regrets!', but tempered with 'don't let your heart rule your head' I could have afforded a fully loaded X3, but other luxuries would have been curtailed- and all those extras don't always mean that much when you trade in. Just get the balance right- and don't live with regrets. |

Thanks for all the opions. You are right, LCI looming soon. That being said, just for the heck of it I will see what the financial hit will be to upgrade, I'm sure the dealer will be happy to see me again ! YOLO hahaha !!

I was in the same boat 1 year ago. I was trying to determine whether to get DHp or Msport. I ended up with DHP and glad I did. Also there was something about the Msport that I wasn't crazy about. I like the aluminum trim and 309 wheels better than the 369's. I'm ok with what I have now. I figured the extra $$ would go towards winter tires/wheels. You gotta figure it's only for 3 years. there's going to be another chance to make that decision.

Went to the dealer this morning same CA. No moves, asked him what I could do if I wanted have the same X3 with M sport, premium Audio and DHP. $5100 plus an additional 30 bucks a month, think I'm gonna bite. Gosh, I was figuring they would throw a couple grand in depreciation at me.

Oh and I'm keeping the N20. I came off a 2009 X3 with the 6 and the 2.0 is plenty of engine for me plus the loving the MPGs. The wife would kill me if I did another PCD again hahahaha !!!

Did you keep the same colour scheme or did you modify it?
Glad that you're happy with your new X3!

Exact same colors... Space Gray, Nevada Oyster, Finline Wave. I did think about the Xenon's but they just didn't grab me as much as the the other stuff. I am very impressed with the difference in sound between std and premium sound !

take it from a old man, if im going to have it for awhile i never skimp. learned the hard way. buy the most you can afford. even if you cant afford it. some things simply are meant to be a certain way. you dont get a cut rate padron cigar, a cut rate harley, a cut rate rottweiler or a cut rate bmw.

I would probably have added the enhanced audio, not missing xenons, love the DAB and the electric seats are great. The sports steering wheel would have been nice too!
But good to see you got a good deal on the upgrade to M.

Good for you - seems for $5k its worth it to have exactly what you want. Xenon's come standard in the US though, you are in NH, it's not an option like it sounds like it is for the UK folks.
