Top Gear: The Worst Car In The History Of The World
Just watched this and rather surprisingly they slate the F25 X3, I know they hated the old one but didn't realise they weren't fans of the current one also. Went along the lines of how does a company that makes the likes of M5, M3 etc. manage to make a car like the X3. Funny how you find inconsistencies as there is a review from their website that is fairly positive: http://www.topgear.com/uk/car-news/T...bye-2012-03-20 |

Top Gear could never be taken seriously. Their shows are not even really about cars. More comedy than any thing else. Still entertaining . |

Dont take them too seriously!!
Top Gear is not a serious motoring show, they are only interested in supercars or stupid stunts for entertainment. That being said I like watching Top Gear but I would never be infuenced by any motoring journalists far less them. I make up my own mind based on my expectations, testing and personal experience along with balancing my budget of course.

Top Gear not liking a car? Must mean that its practical, cost less than a £150k and develops less than 450 bhp.
Having said that - it is a funny show, particularly the 'specials'. Agree with everyone else - do not take their judgement seriously.

I'm a bit confused. The link takes me to a written review of the F25 - which seems pretty positive.
On that review page, there is a hyperlink that takes me to a video review of the predecessor - a 2004 X3 which gets slated. I don't see where it is that the Top Gear folks slate the F25. Do I need to clean my spectacles? |

Funny. I owned two of the cars that they hate. One of my first cars was a Mercury Capri. I don't agree that that was a bad car either. My parents also owned another one on their short list - a Buick LeSabre which was mostly fine for what it was designed as. Certainly not a race car; but it was a safe, comfortable family car - except for the Chevy Vega transmission it came with, which was the reason my father never bought another GM product. He might vote it as the second worse car behind the lemon Oldsmobile Vista Cruiser he owned.

they start off giving the car high marks and then put it into a highly demanding off road situation and call the car bad. If you wanted to do that type of off roading you would buy a silverado. they didnt say anything about snow and rain blah blah. In comparing to the x5 at least from my observations the x5 cost 10k more at least that I priced. And the difference is not that remarkable. My neighbor has a x5 that is ok but he prefers my x3. I dont think it was a fair test as everyone else has stated. I would have been happier if they took the car to the skid pad and drove it then reported back.

Top gear is the best show on TV. I actually quite agree with their reviews frequently. The reason the X3 got trashed is for one reason only - Because they loved the X5 and saw no need for an X3 in the lineup. At least it didn't get as trashed as the X6 which they deemed totally and utterly useless.
It's an entry level SUV, and got an entry level SUV rating. Doesn't change the fact that it's a luxury SUV. |

That's also like saying because they love the 5 series the 3 series shouldn't exist. Or the 1 series. |
