Leather Steering Wheel Peel?
Hi all,
I've spotted some minor leather damage/ peel on my steering wheel (see below). Has anyone else had issues? On my last car (Hyundai Santa Fe) I had to have the steering wheel replaced under warrenty due to a small section of the leather starting to peel (top coat) after 6 months. The car before that; a Honda Accord had no issue for the 4 years I owned it. Only had the X3 for just over 2 months. Hopefully not a sign of things to come. |

Nope, no issues. Are you wearing a ring that might be catching on the leather and knicking it?

Take it back to the dealer and have them replace it.

I only wear a normal round wedding ring, so not guilty. BUT the misses has engagement ring with diamond on, but I can't see it causing the damage where it is. I'll monitor to see if it gets any more serious.
