"Increased Battery Discharge"
After washing the car this AM, I had a warning re: increase battery discharge. The car started fine and on the next crank the warning was gone. I've noticed before that the comfort access system gets a little tricked by the water when washing and constantly triggers the locks & lights. Do you think this was the cause of the message?
Suppose I need to leave my keys in the house when I wash the car...

Battery discharge warning is definitely not due to comfort access system that gets triggered during car wash if you are close to the car and FOB key is on you. Behavior of Comfort access system is expected behavior and you need not worry as it gets triggered by the contacts of water stream on the door handles.
Do you keep you car music system on and loud during washing? |

I did not. Stereo was off. Have driven the car all day since then, no other problems. My thought was that the headlights staying on for a bit perhaps triggered. Perhaps a fluke...

I left the keys in the car while I washed it. I've now read elsewhere that doing that may cause a drain. I think it had to be something to do with the wash - b/c I cranked it to move it out of the garage before washing w/ no error. And, I immediately turned it off and turned it back on after getting the error, and it was fine. The message was re: electronics being shut off or something of that nature.
