Experience with the 30D engine?
Hi honorable people.
This could well be a non-issue, but I'm asking anyways... When I drive in Normal mode (have DDC) and I'm slowing down (braking) before a red light, the gearbox (auto) shifts up to adapt to the decreasing speed. Everytime it upshifts, it feels like it's braking for a split second. Even when my foot is on the brake, to steady slow the speed, it feels like a harder break from the gearbox than from the brake pedal. This does not happen when driving in Sport mode...Yet... This is very annoying because it shifts to a lower gear 2-3 times before stopping. This could as well be me needing to adapt more to the car, and it has got only 2000km on it. Apart from this, the car behaves fantastic Last edited by RichardBR; 04-26-2012 at 10:52 AM.. |

Normal behaviour. Never drive in sports mode - don't know how it behaves there.
You can actually influence the shift patterns a little bit with the gas pedal, and i also think it reacts to how fast you move from throttle to brake. Play around a bit, use tiny throttle movements and see if the adaptive software reacts. |

Word of warning: you're likely in the wrong forum. But I digress...
