Can you give the rundown on powder coat vs. paint for the rims, kidneys, and roof rails? I want black glossy rims, should I glossy everything to match and again is it better to powder coat or paint? Thanks! Picking up White X3 this Saturday. |

Every time I see a car like that on the road, I can't help but think a black bag and a blackjack are soon behind to haul someone off to a dark, empty room somewhere. But that may be all the spy movies in my head talking... |

Did you ever consider plastidip for blacking out the grille?
Seems to be mixed success on other boards, but on the plus side is it's 100% reversible. Thinking about trying it to black out the grille and trims when my x3 comes in. |

Did you just use Rustoleum primer and paint from walmart on Grille? As far as front window tint - what I was recommended once by Ziebart is to go with a little darker tint on front windows then from the outside they'll look identical with rear - the reason for that since windshield lets more light from the front it's good to go a little darker so front and rear look the same from outside. I did it on 2 vehicles and it looked awesome! |

Plastidip is a great product for grills. I have mine done... no sanding just cleaning and consistent light coats. I went through two cans and like Calgary, my X gets beaten lots with stones. Still holding up though.
