How long does it stay on wheels? Does it slowly peel off or start to chip away? It might be a good winter solution if you have nice wheels. Esp over here when they put grit on the roads.

My buddy did his 03 VW GTI in it, be sure and get the stuff premixed for a spray gun and use a water filter or whatever it's called. That will help too. He peeled his off about 1.5 months after doing it. Came right off.

I have used a pressure washer to remove it (I didn't apply it thick enough) and you just have to get under the edge and put the nozzle an inch away and spray spray spray, but it takes a while. Make sure you put on a light base coat then 3+ coats onto of that. It peels when you get tires put on, so I usually re-apply every time I change tires. Stuff is awesome. |

Wish I saw this sooner. I just wrapped my M3 in fire orange about 2 months ago. I'm still gonna order a can of PlastiDip and find something to spray

Thanks for advice. I think this stuff is pretty mad especially since you guys are saying it can withstand pressure washing. I feel like spraying something just for the sake of it lol. I'm curious now.

^ Agreed. The problem is people go to close to paint or worse than that they use it close to the road surface and it hits stone chips off the car. Pressure washers are a good tool when used properly. I was actually thinking of getting a snow foam attachment for mine. Need to try this stuff lol.

I read somewhere 3 cans will give 5 layers for all 4 wheels:

So f*#@ing awesome!!! I don't want to powdercoat my wheels but I want to go dark with them... just for a little while and this seems like a perfect solution!
That Wagner sprayer FTW too! |
