I think they are a car dealership and this was more of a info/review than an actual review. It was enjoyable, regardless.

What Car? for March 2011 has the new X3 on its front cover. Note that it's in front of the freelander and the Q5 in the picture. The reason for that is that it wins convincingly in a 4 way test (XC60 also tested) and scores 5 stars overall. I have a copy of the 14-page review but can't post for copyright reasons. Worth a read in WHSmiths if you're in a station or an airport or if the mrs is shopping and you need a break from saying "that looks really nice", "that one looks great too", "isn't that one the same?"....
If you want to read the article you could PM me and I might be able to point you in the right direction (of a WHSmiths to buy one of course)

Paraphrased some key points from the article
What Car? said "X3 is a 4x4 you can be proud to drive" and "The BMW comprehensively beats the opposition". Exceptionally low running costs, posh spacious cabin, first rate refinement all widen the margin of its victory It scored top on best rear space, biggest boot space, quietest noise at motorway cruising speeds, best auto transmission, quality of dash, fastest 0-60. It got marked down on fiddly manual seat adjustment (I have electric which is hopefully not as fiddly )

Has this review from ConsumerReports been reported yet?
Can an administrator add it to the start of this thread? http://news.consumerreports.org/cars...12-bmw-x3.html I do not have a subscription to CR. Can someone with a subscription report on the overall CR score? What is the Q5 score? |
