Can an order be changed before production starts?
I ordered mine a few weeks ago and it hasn't moved past the "order processed" stage. I got the SAP and DHP as well as alot of other stuff. If I wanted to change to Msport can it be done? So in other words, can I just substitute Msport for SAP but keep the DHP? It looks to be about a $1200 difference (MSRP). And what does Sport Suspension Delete mean under the Msport pricing? Thanks. If it can't be done I'm ok with the original order too.

As above you can amend your order under it goes in to build status at which point you cannot change it. Each change to an order has the potential to shift the build date forward or backward depending on the availability of parts as they all come together (in theory) at build time as part of the stock management process.. all very slick.
I went for the M model and also picked the delete option. This gives you the option to select the suspension you want via the sport/sport plus settings. I've never driven purely M sport without this, and most of the reviews i've read since suggest that driving in sports model with the suspension enabled is similar or the same as having M sport suspension. For UK roads, I like to be able to have additional comfort and think I would have missed selection the option to disable it as sometimes its a little too hard. |

Matt, it is the Variable Damper Control that gives you this option, not the M Sport Delete. If you haven't got this option then it's just placebo effect

It's actually "locked" for changes about a week before production begins. I made quite a few additions and changes to my options (including one about two weeks before production started) and only the last change was refused because it was too late. That one was about 3 days before the start of production and I was told I couldn't make changes as the order had been accepted at the plant but wasn't yet "physical"

I got a call today from my salesman saying that the order cannot be changed. It's been exactly 2 weeks since I put the order in and it seems like it's still in Order Processed stage. That could be wrong based on what you all are saying. I'm just wondering if I'm getting a story from him and he doesn't want to bother or if it actually can't be changed now. Either way I'm ok with it the way it is but could have upgraded. Maybe I can put that thousand + towards winter tires and wheels. Or a new furnace. Or a new washer and dryer. Or a new fridge.
