Weathertech floor mats
The weathertech floor mats I ordered have arrived they fit like a glove, very pleased. If anyone else is thinking of getting them, then I can highly recommend.
One query still trying to resolve is the retention hooks in the floor on the drivers side. Weathertech did not send any with the mats as they said they should be included in the car. I had carpet mats from the dealer when I purchased the car, which have velco to secure them, not hooks. Did anyone get hooks with their car? |

Didn't get any, unless they are in some small baggie that I haven't unpacked yet (like my rear cargo net).

My OE carpeted floor mats (2009 X3) came with velcro discs that lock into the floor slots. My OE rubber floor mats (which are made by Weather Tech) come with hooks that replace these velcro discs. Some insight on the subject can be found here:

That is the ones. I see in those pics the retainer hooks are missing too on the drivers side. Mine is moving around so I've removed it till I resolve the problem.

Weathertech just responded to my email and said I should have been sent retention hooks with the mats. They are sending me some now. Quick response, easily resolved. A+ for their customer care.

I didn't even think to email WeatherTech to find out if they provided retention hooks. Thanks for posting this, I just sent them an email.

Here are the pictures of the WeatherTech Floor Liners in a Sand Beige interior. Perfect fit and quality. At the corner of each front mat is a rectangle where a cheesy WeatherTech self-adhesive badge was inserted. They pulled out easily and left no residue.

I ordered the BMW liners and they look identical to the weather tech ones except they have an XDrive logo on them and they use Velcro disc instead of the hooks.

I have the BMW version of the weathertech mats. They come equipped with an Xdrive sticker. The sticker lasted 3.5 months and they started to come off. Trying to decide if I should epoxy them down, or leave them off.
My wife wasn't pleased they came off. |

Weather tech Mats looks pretty cool, just bought one after I got the car. I ordered the tan color for I had a beige interior and it fits perfectly even at the cargo area. Just had a little problem during my installation of the hook in the driver side for I had a hard time twisting it coz I think it comes a little short than the original bmw mats. I used pliers to twist it and now I got it installed properly... I highly recommend this product....

I got the BMW X Drive version of the all season matts and they look great. I waited for the dealer coupons on accesories and bought it from Murray Motors in Denver at 25 percent discount. So it was a great deal.
One thing I found is that the cargo mat with weather tech is a little flimsy and will not stay down. The one that I bought from BMW has a rubber backing and is heavier so it stays in place. |
