BSM or Carbon Black?
Going through the ordering process right now and trying to decide between BSM and Carbon Black. BSM seems to be a more traditional black while Carbon has a bit more depth. Leaning Carbon, but would love everyone's input on the two.

I would vote for Carbon Black because I like colors that change with different lighting, but I'm probably biased as I just ordered an X3MC in Carbon Black with Tartufo interior!

My vote is for Carbon Black. I was hoping CB would be an option for MY20

I went BSM as I didn't want the blue tinge. Carbon black will probably have slightly better contrast with the black elements (side gills, kidney grilles, etc). More pics in this thread:

Both a nightmare to maintain, but in the sun Carbon wins and all year round BSM overall better.
My previous 440i was BSM but my wife's new X3 due in June is Carbon. Not looking forward to cleaning it!

I’ve had both. I think on the X3M, BSM is nicer IMHO. Carbon is nice and lovely in the sun. Both are a pain to keep clean.

I've owned a BSM 235 and a CB 440. Both colors are great, albeit misnamed. CB is a gorgeous color, but it is dark blue. If you are a black car person, you will only ever see the blue in the CB. I loved the CB but I always replace all chrome bits with black, and I didn't think it looked as clean on CB vs. BSM. My 440 also had the black/blue interior which I thought made it a more appealing package. Can't go wrong with either, just my .02.
