M Sport seats for 2011 F25 X3
Hi, has anyone had any experience or reference to what kind of M sport seats would fit in a F25 ?
my car currently has the standard seat on the 2011 3.5 F25 - I'm very keen on doing a seat swap with a M Sport seat that would still have the electric seat adjustments hope someone can help |

Rails are same length and they will bolt right up, you would just need to cut off a piece that is sticking out from the rail that go into the floor on the F10 (F25 does not have the set hole). Also plug just needs wiring rearranged. It's a pretty popular mod in Europe. Also not sure if you want to do m-sport F10 seats since they usually have cooling in them and that wont work and will just add a lot of extra weight. You can do regular F10 leather seats, they are still light years better than anything on the F25.

Forgot to mention, you would want 2013+ F10/F01 seats since they are a bit more narrow. The pre-2013 seats will work, but they are wide and will touch the center console and the B-pillar.

You can use F06 M seats also. I did this exercise with my F25 2011. Both seats' ECU coded and adopted to the car.
With this setup you will get sporty look and feel but you have to move the seat belt form the pillar to the seat. Also you have to make an additional wiring but it's published in TIS for both chassis. Did it myself within a weekend.

So, inspired by this thread I purchased some F10 seats to install. While the wiring mostly looks good, I am having pretty big trouble with the seat belts. They don't appear to be a match for the ones in my wife's 2013 X3. On the door side where it fits and is anchored by a hook on the X3 seats, it is basically just not compatible with the bolt hole on the F10 seats I have. I can see the outline of the belt connector that was removed from the F10 seats, and it is not a match for the shape of the belt hook for the X3 seats.
I thought I was purchasing the correct ones, they were listed as 2009-2016 F10 Heated front seats. Now I am concerned that I bought the wrong ones, or maybe I am just missing some instructions? Can someone point me to another forum where this is shown in more detail, or does someone maybe have an idea that might help? I have searched internets but I'm coming up blank. |

Did you notice a lowering of driver position (ass to ground) with this setup?? my primary complaint about the F25 seats is that they're too high AND I can't raise the front of the seat and lower the back of the seat sufficiently. |
