LC1 LED Foglights
My 2014 X3 had xenons and halogen foglamps and when the headlamps were on, whenever i indicated or turned the wheel the corresponding foglamp would come on and light up that direction. On my 2017 LC1 X3 i have xenons and LED foglamps but they no longer come on with indication or steering - is there a setting i need to alter, is their a fault or is this a characteristic of the LC1?

Have you looked in the manual or asked your local dealer? A question like this should be fielded by a dealer because you are still under warranty and there could be a fault that needs fixing by BMW. |

Do you have adaptive headlights / visibility package as I think that the cornering lights are part of this

I have X3 LCI 2015, with Xenon and LED Fogs, but I have adaptive headlights which turn the headlights (Xenons) to face the direction the car is turning and therefore these light the road in the correct direction. So BMW probably feel there is no need to use the Fogs for this purpose with Adaptive Headlights. As PerryGunn says.

are all xenons adaptive because when i looked at an lC1 brochure the only options other than halogen were xenon or LED. The build sheet for my X3 states the following
522 xenon headlights 5A1 LED foglamps, front 5AC High beam assist What compounds the issue is that when I originally ordered the X3 I ticked the LED headlamp option as part of the M-Sport Plus pack but there was a mix-up somewhere and the car got fitted with the above 3 items instead, I got compensation for the error (free service pack and LED interior lights fitted and a tank full of fuel) so wasn't too fussed

As I said in my first post.... The reason for the above, is that there may be a programming change with the introduction of LED fogs. Hence my answer. |

There are some speed dependencies though I remember that the cornering fogs are disabled at higher speeds - 40mph jumps into my head although I wouldn't swear that it's accurate

Not even sure if my Fogs activate on turn or indication with headlights on. I will have to test in front of a large shopfront glass window.
