E-Sys 3.27.1 is almost entirely the same as 3.23.4. The main difference is the Read VCM button was renamed to Read ECU. Other than that, I can't think of a single significant difference between the two. "Step 11: Select CADF (only one with a green Check mark) file under the module you want to read and select “Read Coding Data" is same process for both versions, and nothing about the related picture from 3.24.3 should be any different than 3.27.1. What are you seeing in the picture that is different? No, there is no other Guide. It has never been needed nor suggested before.

Ok, try again. Read Coding data is there in Coding Module. It is button in Middle Right of Screen, or you can also Right-Click to bring up the Context Menu, and Read Coding data will be there as well.

Wait, I remember entering a PIN when I installed using the EsysLauncherPremium but when I want to edit, it does not recognize the pin I set.... Can I change it? or also, should I start the program with the launcher always?

I ssume you are now using E-Sys Launcher, so PIN is managed for you, so don't worry about it.

First, thank you guys for all the information here. I was able to successfully code my 2013 X3 without any problem.
Now, I have a question... is there any kind of coding that can be done to an old E83 car? Besides the 2013 car, I also have a 2004 X3 that I would love to change some settings... |

F25/F26 NBT2 Video In Motion
Sorry to hijack the thread, I'm trying to get VIM working in my F26 X4 with NBT2 (MY17), shared platform with F25. Figured there would be a lot more experience with coding in the X3 section.
I have the following setup as per instructions for NBT: But it is not working (USB video works fine when parked, everything good with codecs etc). I have a feeling that the issue lies here: I have found different information about what to put there. Should I put FF or is this proper values: SPEEDLOCK_SPEEDVALUE_MIN: Werte = 1F (11111b) UNBELEGT (below the above): Werte = 07 (111b) SPEEDLOCK_SPEEDVALUE_MAX: Werte = 3F (111111b) UNBELEGT (below the above): Werte = 03 (11b) Got everything else working coding-wise (euro adaptive LED are awesome!). Next thing I will look for is auto-hold remember. Once this is working, I will build a compilation of my coding progress in the X4 forum. Thanks! |

USB movies issue
ok so coded for usb video playback and all the codec's. Works fine but it will not read the movies in my movie folder on the usb. After it confirms no entries it then will no longer show the movies folder at all. All a bit strange how can I get it to see my mp4 movies so I can select what I want to watch? It just starts from the top of the list
What am I missing |

Noob question:
Where can one find a list of what codes change what features? Or at least a list of changes that need to be made to activate/deactivate certain features.

Hi,
After successful halogen to Xenon retrofit there is only one thing left to do: Auto-levelling sensors or ride high sensors have to be installed and wiring connected to the ICM module. I installed the sensors (front/rear axle left), bought the right connectors, rewired the sensors. Cable have to run underneath the car to the motor compartment and from there via Penetration to the space in vicinity of FRM module.... Then the big job is to remove the complete central console.....in order to get to ICM module which is under the armrest. Question for Shawn and other coding experts here: I installed and wired the sensors to ICM according instructions from INPA-D. However when attempting the initialization via Rheingold/INpa-D....System cant see any sensors connected. Generally, I thing the wiring is ok, there is maybe problem with coding the ICM Do I have to code 522 (Xenon) in ICM modul as I have done for FRM? Are the ICM modules identical for cars with halogen and cars with Xenon? Thx. |

ICM VO coding
Ok,
I will answer the above question myself:-) F25 ICM Module must be 522 VO coded in order to force the modul to look for the autoleveling sensors. Then one should see in INPA or ISTA the voltage value at the sensors around 5 Volts. Now i will try to initialize the sensors in ISTA D and let you know. I guess both modules (FRM and ICM) must be initilaized.....ICM to process sensors voltages and FRM to recieve the Information via Flaxray bus. If this will be sucesfully done, then victory....OEM Bi-Xenons with autolevelling just like from factory. |

Retrofit Finalized/ F 25 X3 LCI Bi-Xenon/ECE
Hi,
This will be probably my last comment here. Today I have initialized the autolevelling sensors (make sure you are geting supply voltage 5V, and the operational voltage around 2-3 Volts+ in the check function in INPA D there should be info displayed that the sensors are working ok) Dont forget to initialize them in ICM with INPA D +one can possibly run the headlight motor check through service function in FRM My last problem was still two errors in FRM, one for each headlight showing the identification error in INPA even when i was previously able to initialize the TMS modules in INPA. In Esys one must change the TMS_ID (FRM ECU) to the correct value. I my case BIX LCI/ ECE. Since the last encoding no error messages, no fault memory in INPA.....all done It was long way.... Strange feeling, i miss the error messages now :-) In case, somebody will need a help with complete OEM xenon retrofit for F Series BMW, let me know... I will try to help. Cheers, H. |

Awesome 😃!!! Thank you shawnsheridan.
Also I have another question but I am unable to start a new post so I'm putting it here. I am looking to buy a used RDC control module from craigslist. The seller says that his "15 x3 had over turned and the insurance totaled it out. Since I have new tires and my tmps sensors all show normal battery life, I get RDC malfunction from time to time. So, if I purchase this RDC module, will I need to flash the entire ECU to code it in? Or will I just be able to add the module via is serial in the configuration file?? I only see that you can activate or deactivate but nothing in the guide for adding used, per owned RDC antenna/module. |

Is there a way to code the HUD to always display the street/exit that is coming up for navigation? Seems it will only show say a right turn coming up till you're close enough then the name shows.
