If they stick out too far, why not go to a plumbing supply store and pick up some black rubber faucet repair gaskets and install over the end of the screws.

Another option for sure, but personally prefer the clean look and the machined screws and guides of the Amazon bracket (for less than $15 and without leaving the house). Thanks for sharing though

Called my dealer to see if they had the OEM bracket. They did, but the foam had been drilled through. Have one on order and purchasing the Amazon one. Will compare quality.

Thanks for all those contributing to this thread! My bracket was not causing paint to be scratched but the self taping screws stripped out the bracket and one screw wouldn’t hold. Just installed the Amazon bracket and it was perfect. Tossed the other garbage in the recycle.
