There's gonna be a serious first world problem deciding on getting the F97 LCI or a G87. We'll cross that bridge when we get there.

The LCI has sunglasses on. If you got a '21 for a good price, don't sweat it. I would never swap my '20 for the LCI and a higher payment.

Hopefully this signals that interiors will receive more than just color combo changes during LCIs going forward.

Wonder if the chip shortage will lead to any delays or option changes. We were set to order a new Macan, but no new Macans will ship with 18-way seats, only 8-way, which was a no-go for us.

If the X3/X4 takes bits and pieces of the X5/X6 interior, the X3/X4 easily sits atop of the segment for me. IMO X5/X6 has the best interior in its class and to have it trickle down to the X3/X4 is great.

I am not a fan of the new HVAC controls. Had a loaner 340 for several days, and I much prefer the turn knob vs the up/down switch for temperature control. The older vents are bigger too, which I also like. To add insult, removing the dedicated dial for warm/cool air was not so great (still miss that from my F80 and previous BMWs), but the updated controls add one more click to change that setting.
The lci iDrive console is great, but I also have zero complaints with the pre-lci console. I'll have to see it in person, but I'm not sold on the pictures of the updated bumper. |

It's crazy how scarce certain inventory is, in our region SUVs are our bread and butter, X7s come in and are here for max a week and off they go full pop. |

I'm cry'n the happys.. 2 weeks ago I just traded in my spec ordered, every option, '15 F15 M-Sport...with 68Kmi...MPE & MPPK...Burger Intake...had every BMW service records....got $26K trade in for a '21 X3MC... easily negotiated 15% off sticker...I had the exact vehicle spec'd out last fall to order, I was ready to put a deposit, & was told wait for the LCI ...in early '21 & would most likely pay close to MSRP.... It's amazing how fast the latest & greatest becomes passe...It's the right hand side of the speedo that matters...boomerang, dial or sweep gauges.. who cares...2 years from now '22 buyers will be cry'n the sad...

So let me make sure I have this right:
New front fascia New headlights and taillights Completely overhauled interior Full idrive 7 Likely hp increase This has to be one of, if not the most significant LCI in recent memory. I miss the days when you might get a few new colors and led taillights, lol. |

So far I'm still very pleased with my 2020.
1. Perfect gauges, I can't get used to the new style bmw gauges even in M mode. 2. Nearly 20% off msrp 3. No weird exterior styling just classic bmw M, which seems to be a thing of the past now.

I don't know why it keeps being called a "completely overhauled interior." The center stack and center controls are the only confirmed changes, and likely the only changes. These are simply new trim pieces and switches, nothing underneath has likely been changed. This is consistent with LCI improvements in the past.
