Nevertheless, when I placed my order on 20th March, I was told mid-late July for delivery, and now my car arrives in Brisbane on 9th June. So, looks like I'll be able to take delivery just in time for QLD school holidays, when I'm also taking 2 weeks off. Excellent... |

At present, the Oberon is somewhere between Panama and Auckland. You can track the shipping status of your car at: http://www.2wglobal.com/www/WEP/index.jsp Click on Track

Try again ...
Quick word of warning to any of the guys in Australia worrying because they can't find their VIN on track and trace: It doesn't always work. Couple of the orders from members in the UK were on the Elektra with mine. Mine showed up but theirs' didn't. If it does work, it's fantastic and a great way to kill time while you await delivery

I got my VIN# and currently in production. If what Roder saying is correct, then it will be on the same boat - TONSBERG, Voyage CF114-TOB and expected in Fremantle in July.
Can't remember how long the X5 in 2006 took to get here. Should have kept the paperwork.

Kouta. By my calcs it means that your car would have been produced by the first week in April for a departure from us no later than mid April to have made it in Aus already. I wonder if the production line commenced with right hand drives or as usual we are a slight after thought here

Given that we Australians account for only 1-2% production BMWs we are at their mercy and can't dictate the production schedule unlike the heavy weights like USA, UK, South Africa, and the new market China.
When you order a BMW Individual sometime it can take up to a year for an Australian spec car to be built. It all revolve around production slots. Having said that, this is a series production and should follow suite as per the allocations. It all depends on how soon the dealer puts in the order. It's your money and it's your car. You're entitled to put pressure on the dealer to get the car as soon as possible. For guys in Melbourne and Sydney where you have multiple dealerships, if one can't deliver threaten to take your business elsewhere. Unfortunately we in Perth have only one dealership, and the same guy Bob Peters is opening a second one in Wangara in July.

The X3 is booked on TONSBERG-CF114-TOB leaving SAVANNAH, GA on 05-06-2011 and scheduled to arrive in FREMANTLE on 10-07-2011. Looks like the delivery will be around the 15th then.

Just trying to piece things together. If built 23 April, first possible boat departure was the tarago due to arrive in melb on 5 June. Look forward to the photos when you get it. If you mean that it left on 23 April it is arriving today in melb.

It did arrive today. I saw the ship today myself. Also, there is already a space grey 30DM sitting in the delivery bay at BMW Melb as we speak. Saw it myself again when I went to look at my mate's 1M.
