Anyone used Carly for coding?
This is a question for someone who has used https://www.mycarly.com/
coding BMW X3 F25. I want to code the following on my X3 1. Auto fold/unfold side mirrors when engine off/on 2. Close all windows and sunroof with key fob 3. Remove nav disclaimer 4. Unlock all doors when engine off reading the web site it is supported for this model. What I would like to know once I code the above items, will these be added to the menu so I am able to toggle it off and on? Has anyone used Carly and how satisfied are you with the tools/app and functionality? The only thing I don't like about Carly is the fact that it is a subscription based and once activated they charge you every month by default. You have to opt out if you don't want to use it. |

I use Carly (and BimmerCode)
I dont recall a menu, for the newly coded items If one wants to disable something coded, AFAIK, you'd have to re code to revert back to stock settings I am satisfied with Carly, the app is just much nicer to use (IMO) Note: if price is a concern, look elsewhere. I have ways of covering the fees via google play credits that I've amassed over the years, but wont junk up this thread discussing that |

Thanks. I would need to use iOS and the app is from Apple Store. It is my understanding that you buy license through Apple Store so it should not be an issue cancelling the subscription. It is not expensive, like $7/month. I was interested to hear from you and others but it looks like you liked it.

So if you use it for 5 years you're out of nearly $400. Not a fan of paying an annual fee for the privilege to continue to use software, and then there's their expensive proprietary OBD II interface you need to purchase to use the software Great marketing model.

You can just buy a license for a month at $7 use it and cancel. Next time you need it again just pay $7. It is not that I will be using it every day or even every month. There are some free features that dont require a license and that includes diagnostics. So it is not so bad.

Major reason for me to have Bimmercode, pay once, use forever.

+1 on BimmerCode, I've used it several times to adjust things to my liking. Together with the Veepeak OBD adapter they make powerful tools.
I also got BimmerLink which is their scan tool and I love that one too. Bought once, use for life.

I checked bimmercode and it’s a good deal.
Have to consider this app. About the cost, do I only need to get adapter? Are there any other charges? Which adapter is best? There are few choices. |

I can't say which adapter is best as there are many out there that I haven't used. The Veepeak one is around $33 on Amazon. You'll want both, and they're worth having.
