FS: 6WB Digital Instrument Cluster
As I part out my X3 in preparation to trade it in, I am selling the 6WB Digital Cluster that I had retrofitted into my G01 X3. Unit is in perfect condition, and is the model that is compatible with the HUD. The Part # is 62108782630, and is compatible with the G01 X3 and G02 X4, as well as the G30/G31 5-Series, as well as the G32 6-Series, and G11/G12 7-Series. The trim piece included is only applicable for the G01 X3, if you plan to use it on a different model you would need to source the correct trim piece.
PLEASE READ: In order to retrofit this in to your car, you will need to have it cleared/virginized. I do not have the tools to do this, so the buyer will need to find someone who can perform this process, which is why I am selling it at a lower price point than if you were to buy one that had already had this done to it. Instructions on how to install it:can be found here. Asking price is $425 shipped OBO. Last edited by roxxor; 02-18-2020 at 09:43 AM.. |

You know; I'd be interested; but outside of your posts I've found no one that knows anything about "virginizing" these. I imagine I'm capable as I have a TSOP adaptor and i2c/spi programming abilities... But what chip is in this that needs to be reset? Does it contain more than just the VIN? It is read protected? I imagine this is not a DIY procedure and as such likely a hard sell unless perhaps you can link a shop willing to do the work?

Would you happen to know if this can be used with non-HUD cars?
And what was the mileage on the cluster when removed? Thanks Quote:
