I wonder what the people that were disappointed with their test drive will say. “ The car is too stiff, it doesn’t even feel fast, it doesn’t have enough cup holders” I’m so glad I didn’t listen to any of them and placed an order. This SUV is no slouch!!!! |

3.57 seconds to 60? Damn, that is FAST for a stock SUV! So much for BMWs reported 4.1 seconds.. And you weren't even at sea level! Impressive run! Correct me if I'm wrong, but that puts it besting the GLC 63S and about tieing the Stelvio. My X3MC is still about three weeks out from delivery. I actually went to the dealer today and sat in his X4MC on he showroom floor for about a hour just to get a fix. Your drag results make me want mine even more now..

My 0-60 in 3.57 seconds did not use roll out. With roll out (12") it was 3.38 seconds. Pure stock that is massively impressive. My F90M5 was 3.01 with rollout on the same "track". My F85X5M was 3.60 with roll out and RaceChip, Dinan Intake, Akra, etc. Pure stock was 3.95 F85X5M 1/4 mile on the same "track" was 12.2 at 114mph pure stock. 11.85 at 117.x with the mods. The stock X3MC is insane. BMW has a dilemma .....the new X5M is coming this fall....with the M5 awesome V8TT...but 600-620hp will not overcome 510hp and 900lbs weight delta.....unless BMW cuts weight on the X5M....the X3MC will be quicker/faster....not good...If they up the HP on the V8TT...the M5 market will be pissed....not good...real dilemma |

This would be fun - learned of this while researching Qtr mile times on various BMW SAV models, and someone took an X6M there I think a few years back. Had never heard of it.

Thanks once again to onfireX5 for providing some early phase numbers. Not to bore with details, but the Sim has never been set up to capture the intricacies of take off from standing start. Too many variables, such as tire and track friction coefficients to name a few. So the Sim uses a set equation using the weight and some avg coefficients to determine when the wheels shouldn't spin, then transfers it over to another set of equations which take the CdA etc into account.
Which is why the 0-30 and 0-60 times have now been added to the graph so the early take-off curve can be better estimated. Just need to draw a dotted line between the data points to get a rough idea as to it's capabilities. And this is still at relatively high DAs. Quite a work of engineering by the M team. |

Most likely I will get the G80. I went for a test drive to replace the 19' M240xi and test drove the X5 M50i and I like it until I got into X3M CP It's hard to resist the X3M CP
