G01 Floor Mats
They're "just" floor mats, but thought I would post some pics of the BMW mats I just received. Only the front have arrived so far. The rears will be in tomorrow.
Nothing beats the Weathertech Floor Liners in my opinion, but they aren't available yet. In an email exchange with Weathertech, they could not provide an estimated timeframe, but it's pretty much dependent on getting hold of a "test' vehicle to laser-measure and fit. I need to cut the display hanger tab off the top so ignore that for now. |

Yes, they are the all weather ones. I bought them on eBay from a BMW dealer in New Jersey (I'm in PA), so I got them in 1 day. If you search eBay for "BMW OEM G01", they should come up. I paid $90 for the front, and $80 for the rear.
They are very thin compared to the All Weather Weathertechs and the lip on the edges is small. I probably won't keep these in permanently; once the weathertech liners are out, I'll be getting those, but we're starting to get snow up here so itll take care of all the salt being tracked into the car. |

I agree with everyone about the Weathertech mats.
I will probably get some generic ones from Canadian Tire until the WT ones are available. The BMW ones look nice, but I find that my boots can bring in more water than most mats can handle. the "trays" from weather tech are great. |

Thanks for the post. Those mats look pretty good. I ve been searchin for an interim solution myself and will try to get those for the time being. Already seeing snow and plenty salt in NJ.
Nothing beats the Weather Tech liners when it comes to containing crud inside the vehicle. Hope they 'll become available soon. |

I have had several Weathertech liners for the cargo area and they were great. However if want to use the tie downs, you need to cut holes in the liner. Weathertech has the spots to cut very clearly indicated. Unfortunately liquid/dirt can now make it through. For My GT I bought the BMW liner (really nice with red seam binding at the edges) as well as the Weathertech. One for everyday and one for the messy stuff.
The one for my E70 had carpet on one side, rubber on the other and a heavy rubberized flap to protect the rear bumper when loading. My dog loved it! |

That brings up a good point. I'm not sure what to do about the cargo area. I don't want to cover up the rails. We got a canvasback for my wife's X1 and it's awesome, but they are claiming the X3 cargo area didn't change from '17, so the holes on the side panels likely will not line up unless they remeasure.

I don't have any photo's of the mats.
The thing that is nice about Cocomats is that if you are torn between a few different mat fabrics or mat colors, they will send you samples to help you figure out what you want. https://www.cocomats.com/sisal/ |

I also don't like their products. For one, I can't stand all the advertising they have in just about every automotive magazine. The first thing I do when I get a new issue is tear out all the Weathertech advertising pages. They are wasting their advertising budget on me.
Anyway about their product. The cargo mats are made of a cheap plastic type material. While it might be durable (maybe), when items are on the cargo mat, they slide all over the place. In fact, I just tried out the Jeep Grand Cherokee heavy duty cargo mat from my previous 2014 Grand Cherokee. I thought for sure I would have to trim it to fit, but surprisingly it fits perfectly. Best part is, nothing slides about because it's made from more rubber than the cheap plastic in the Weathertech mat. And a new one was $60.00 delivered. I'm sure when the BMW cargo mat comes out for the X3, it will be of the same cheaper plastic material and cost 3 times as much. As for this one saying Jeep on it, unless you are looking for it, the black letters blend in with the rest of the black cargo mat. Plus I don't care if that part doesn't say BMW on it since it's covered by a trunk organizer. |

Those factory mats look nice but they don't seem like they would capture moisture as well as the all weather mats for the previous X3 with all the nooks and crannies. Is this the only design they have? I'm using my old X3 mats in my new X3 and it is not a perfect fit but wouldn't mind the same type of design.
