2013 x3 35i wants to stall on cold mornings
When I start my 2013 X3 M sport 35i on cold mornings, below freezing, it starts fine but then immediately begins to choke and almost stall, then perks up after a 3-4 seconds and seems fine. This morning seemed particularly bad but there have been much colder mornings. Any thoughts on what could be causing this? I know most cars have a cold start mode to adjust idle and other parameters but these newer cars probably have a lot more inputs to this.

There are many things that may contribute to your X3 running poorly after cold starts in cold weather: for example, spark plugs and/or ignition coils may need to be serviced, fuel injectors may need to cleaned or replaced, there may be a small vacuum leak, air intake system may need to be serviced or a combination of these problems. Are you getting any codes?

Well the weather is getting colder and this issue is starting again. It has 82k kms. There are no check engine lights. It only lasts for a few seconds and then its all good. I wonder if throttle body should be cleaned. Could be a partially blocked port?
