No Canadian Service Schedule
What kind of BS is this?
Dealer says they need to scan the key to see what items are due for service but i need to wait for the car to tell me it needs work. This is madness, they don't have a schedule based on KMs driven. So I need to TAKE THE FUCKING CAR IN to see what work needs to be done. They really do fuck about with things that do nothing but cause problems do BMW. |

It's called CBS maintenance. Sounds like this is your first modern BMW.
Remain Calm and Read the Manual. Alternately you can pay for the in between services like the "other brands". |

We had an X1 with service plan included so just rolled in and got it done. Now, i need to pay for it and have NFI if i just need an oil change or a major service.

I agree with OP, should be a schedule of what is due when...regardless of the CBS...

You might do an internet search for the 'old school maintenance schedule' created by Mike Miller, the technical editor for the BMW Car Club of America. This document provides useful guidance and insights on how to maintain your BMW for long term ownership and reliability.
