Debadging the X3
I searched for a thread related to this and could only find one.
I know the UK guys had an option of model designation delete. However, the US didn't have that option. How would you guys suggest go about removing the "X3" on the trunk? (Picture of what I am talking about) BMWLIGHTS by carlili4190, on Flickr I am thinking heat and dental floss to pull of the X3. But what if residue remains under the X3. What should I use to remove that? |

Goo Gone should work for the glue residue.

I debadged my Z4, but not my X3. I used dental floss to remove the badges and then I used Mother's Scratch Remover to get rid of the 3M glue.
Worked like a charm and zero damage to the clear-coat. Dave

I dont' like the look of the xDrive badges -- not a huge thing, but not my favorite. While washing and waxing things catch on the X3 on the back, though I like the look of it.
This said, I haven't gotten up the nerve to remove the side badges myself!!

Agreed it would look good. If it was a factory option I'd consider it. A home made hatchet job, no thanks.
