My X3 is being replaced by BMW. Should I go for internet option this time??
After some dodgy paintwork and a faulty DAB radio, my dealer is replacing my X3 35D M Sport and I'm wondering whether this time I should additionaslly specify the Internet option. Does anyone have it and is it any good??

Yo bro, if BMW is replacing ur car. It should not be limited to Internet option, it could be any car they have equal to the original value of your car without depreciation .
BMW is replacing my 2012 f25 35i because of the emission light, now my 2013 28i replacement is in production since last week. Hopefully it would be at the stealership this Friday

Don't bother with the Internet option.
It is so slow (not even 3G) that it is virtually unusable. My ex demo came with it, I have so far never sat in a layby long enough to answer an internet question - I have given up and either waited or used the limited (but much quicker) access via BMW Online. (Wikilocal etc) |

Agree that it is unusably slow and I will probably never use it. However, for the sake of £100, I'm glad I added it for the off chance that one day it might come in useful.

There was what I can only describe as about a 6 inch line of rock hard plastic stuck to the inside edge of the driver's door and a similar amount of the same stuff on the pillar where the door meets when it's closed. It wouldn't have been so bad had it been black to match the colour of the car but it was jagged and white edged. Dealership's bodyshop did a great job of sanding it off and getting the neceesary repainting done - but it should never have come out of the factory like it. The final straw was two failed attempts, each lasting 3 days, to get the DAB radio to work. Eventually it was fixed on the 3rd attempt on day 6 with a new amplifier (replacement back window and head unit had failed to sort it!). I complained that having spent close to 50 grand on the car I was not impressed and wanted to start again with a replacement. To my complete surprise the dealership agreed and have given me a brand new 320D to drive around in for the next couple of months until the replacement arrives. They've even agreed to let me take it to France for my 2 weeks driving holiday at the end of May. Amazingly good service!!
