X3 price does see an increase but comes w/more features
In the U.S.A and I assume other places you can preorder the new X3 and yes, the price did go up. But as everyone is aware by now you get the bigger wheels and power tailgate. Also, as previously mentioned, some of the packages did drop. I was able to price one out at Fairfax BMW - thanks to Asad.

I ordered a 2013 on Saturday with the following options:
2013 X3 35i Space gray metallic Black Nevada leather Fineline wave wood Sports activity package Cold weather package Dynamic handling package Premium package Premium sound Tech package BMW apps The MSRP was exactly $400 over the 2012 price. The base price on the 35i went up $900, but the premium package is $500 cheaper now that the power tailgate is standard |

What dealer in Florida did you use? I am going to order the 2013 28i, and pick it up in SC. I want to enjoy the Performance Center there in Spartanburg. If I order the vehicle, will I have the same ability to negotiate based on the dealer invoice price? I think it should be something like 92% of the MSRP. Thanks for any help... |

Ordered 2013 X3 328i yesterday 4/1/2012 (not an April fools joke.) No premium over msrp locally in SF area as rumored elsewhere, but no significant discount either. Delivery date will not be known until production number gets in system.

http://www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/Find....n=sbs&id=32345 What's nice is you can compare it with an F30 and compare annual fuel costs under the "preferences" feature. |

I guess it's going to help people looking at overall costs to consider even more the 28i over the 35i now that it actually does have a better mpg. I'm a sucker though for the power of the 35i

I donno king, I would have gone with the 28i if the Msport and dynamic dampers where available with it.
0-60 times are within 0.5 seconds so ya ain't giving up much for the more economical engine. |

I think you can order the 28i with the MSport and the dynamic dampers - I priced one out and it comes in over 50K. Not to go down a rabbit hole but I can pick up a X5 35d pretty nicely equipped for not much more than the X3 35 and the X5 gets the same MPG. USAA has a $6K rebate on the X5 35d.
