M-sport Mud Flaps arrived (Splash Guards)

Hi
Just received the Mud Flaps I ordered in February. :-)

They look quite OK if you ask me, and most importantly they are a perfect fit on the M-sport body. They use original mounting screws and bolts and a few extra selt tapering. Seems like an easy install and easy removal without anything really damaged.

I will get back with pictures once I get time to install them.

Here is where I bought:

I bought the same off of ebay based on recommendations in this thread and they appear to fit my F97 X3MC. THey were actually delivered pretty quickly.

I was switching over to summer wheels/tires this weekend and was going to install the mud flaps but I found the edge that rests against the car a bit sharp.

I have PPF on the front and am planning to install a small piece on the back but the sharpness made me pause as I feel it might cut though the PPF.

I am going to try some felt tape and see if I can adhere it to the mud flap edge where it will meet the PPF.

Please do post your install experience as I will be tackling this as soon as the felt tape and a Saturday with warmish temps arrives.

Ps: Here are the ones I bought:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/Splash-Guar...72.m2749.l2649

And make sure you wash the wheel well liners and lower rear bumper before the install

Yeah I was looking at those first. But they only ship to US (or actually they ship worldwide but at $1500 shipping fee). Most likely same stuff anyway, different seller.

You can use a dremel and smooth the sharp edge.

Ha! If you were local I would try to get my hands on your air drills with expensive diamond bits. Or hand you the flaps and put in an insurance claim

I have to be careful as not to remove too much material and make them look uneven so I may start with a hand file first.

Appreciate the suggestion!

Sure, we'll put a composite filling in the thing if you overdrill and we can bill out for a remote, cross country filling.

Would love to see some photos of them installed on the car. Thanks.

Installed

I just installed these today on my X3MC (which appears to have the same fitment as the 'M Sport'). Very happy with them.

I made a thread on it in the F97 forum - I think the process will be the same as G01. CLICKY.
