They are Miro F25. The 68mm BMW caps fit perfectly. They are very light. I saved almost 6lbs per wheel/tire. Thanks.

I decided to stay away from staggered as I wanted the ability to rotate the tires. I had 19 inch wheels to start so it does not feel much different. The tires are a good inch wider so it does seem to handle better in the corners. I am going to put winter tires on the original stock wheels but will probably go up to the same size tire as there are far more options in the larger size.

I like the idea of wider wheels. I came from a X5 with the Msport wheels, so nice WIDE rears. Anyway, with your set up, you actually reduced the diameter of the overall wheel (https://www.tacomaworld.com/tirecalc?tires=245-55r19-255-50r19), it's probably not perceptible, but increased the width by a good 1/2 inch.

I have the stock 21's. For the fronts, I probably wouldn't change from the 245/40/R21 to avoid any rubbing (I hear some rubbing at max wheel lock turning left, but that's another story), but I could increase my rears to 315 series. That would rock.

I agree with BMWdude2018. I would like to see wider options with lower offsets to bring the wheels more flush with the fenders and to provide some depths in the center of the wheel instead of looking so flat!

I tried my set of Signature 20” wheels from my f83 M4 on my previous e83 X3 and they fit surprisingly well in terms of offsets, but the diameter felt off, partly due to the huge fender well gap on a vehicle that was not lowered to accommodate larger diameter wheels (20x10 +23 / 20x11 +35 = very slight poke)

Another forum member put f80 M3 19” wheels on a (2nd gen) X3 and the offset and diameter looked almost perfect...

Since the G01 redesign, 21” is a now a factory option, but the offsets and low depth leaves a little to be desired. It is also unfortunate for G01 owners that BMW switched the bolt pattern from 5x120 to 5x112, so alternate BMW wheels from other platforms cannot be test fitted... leaving us with only aftermarket options.


I believe we DO have a lot of room to play with...

19x8.5 ET 32. I think the offset with the 8.5 inch wheel moved the wheel out where it belongs.

Can you guys/gals give me some insight? I just got a new M40i as my second car and it came with the stock 21’s along with Bridgestone tires. I’m not a big fan of the the Bridgestones and there’s only two choices for this wheel size. So I’m considering some 22 inch aftermarket wheels that are 22x9 with an offset of 35mm and some Continental DWS 06 tires that are 265 35 22. I think there’s enough room for the tires to fit, but I wasn’t sure if they would stick out on the sides. Any thoughts/insight? Thanks.

BMW shows the wheel sizes and offsets to be 8Jx20 ET27 / 9.5Jx20 ET43. This was for a set of factory 20" wheels from their BMW accessories site. I have had Beyern wheels before and have liked that they don't need trim rings and all this other stuff to fit. They just don't offer anything right now for a G01 X3 or even for the new 5 series cars.

I’m going to be getting a square set of VMR V710 20x9 rims with an offset of 35 in satin black for the winter. I’ll post pics later once everything is mounted in the fall. I checked willtheyfit.com and they’ll stick out about 11mm further in the front than the stock 21” wheels, 6mm less in the rear but spacers will correct that for the most part.

Honestly, I wonder if you can notice a 6 or 11mm discrepancy though.

Pretty sure they do michelin PS4's in 21's for the 718M wheels.

Thanks Alex. The PS4’s would definitely be an upgrade from the Bridgestones and I’m still debating if I really need an all-season tire here in Dallas. I can probably get away with the PS4’s year round here even though they are a summer tire.

I have ran Summer performance tires in Fort Worth for over 10 years without issue. I just drive a little slower when it's below 40 and stay at home on the one day it snows.

I don't think the PS4 is available in our size though. Stones and PZero's are all I have seen in 21".

@cjackson1906 - I think you would be fine with a summer tire, many people run them year round from what I see, especially over in the M3/M4 forum.

I really appreciate both of your thoughts on the tire options. I ran Pilot Super Sports on my M5 year round here in Dallas for 3 years but we didn’t have any ice or snow...and I would’ve stayed home if we did. Truth be told, I have UHP all seasons on my B6 so I could get around in light snow and ice. It just seems strange that I could get around in that car but not a SAV/SUV in that sort of weather unless I put winters on it. Again, thank you for the feedback and that’s why I love this forum.

Thanks for sharing and it looks like 22's have enough room on the M40i in terms of height within the wheel well area. However, it looks like 22x10.5 stick out slightly in the rear. Having said that, a staggered look with 22's (22x8.5/9 front and 22x9.5/10 rear) would look sweet and hopefully wouldn't compromise ride comfort or handling too much.

On your rear wheels, with it being 10.5 and 295, how is the clearance on the inside by the well? I just had some new wheels put on that were supposed to have had a better offset to push the tire out some and allow me to put on wider tires later, but the tire feels really close to the wheel well inside at a 10" wheel and the stock tire/width on it. I do really like how these fill up the wheel well. My main complaint about the 20" wheels is the lack of filling up the well...21" wheels would be perfect, unless you can lower it a bit without compromising the greatly tuned suspension etc.

Diffrent strokes for diffrent folks i guess...22's not my cup of tea.
