update: here you go!
Fills in the gap nicely! Did you go with a staggered setup? What are your wheel and tire sizes?

Teaser; best I can do since I don't take delivery of the X3 M40 for another 2 weeks. BBS CCR 8x20 ET 27 front; 9.5x20 ET 42 rear with Pirelli P Zero All Season Plus. Would have preferred Michi PS AS 3+; but the rears are backordered until at least Christmas. Winters will be stock 19's with Hakka R3. I'll probably use a set of 12mm spacers all around, but want to see 'em on the car before wasting more money :D

Chrome (yuck!) centercaps will be replaced with one of the zillion 56mm BBS caps makes.

I purchased the 701M wheels and love them. I was afraid to pull the trigger too because I couldn't find pics. Here is mine after I installed them

I also plan to do a cerium delete on my X4 M40i. I have the 699M 20" wheels (photo). I'd like to black them out.

My dealer suggested powder coating the BMW wheels as an option. Apparently there is a shop in my town that does a really nice job.

Has anyone else done that?

Crazy. I wouldn't even recognize these as 699Ms if I far them on the street. They're nice but I'm in the fence. I'm still surprised how much I love the 701Ms in black though

Honestly rides smooth to me! Didn’t notice a big difference when test driving this car compared to similar stock x3 tires. I always get comments from guests about the awesome ride quality (this is x30i with base suspension).

I'm planning to go with aftermarket winter tires for my new X3 30e. Need the winter tires directly as the car should be delivered in early/mid-February so decision time soon. Have ordered 21” (Individual 726) for the summer tires and have been looking at 20” AEZ rims which seem to be reasonably priced and generally good looking. My car will be Sophisto grey MSport with black kidneys so have been looking for a bit darker rims. Mainly(in current preference order) AEZ crest dark, AEZ Steam Graphite and AEZ Panama Dark. There are some wheel simulators but would be cool to see real pictures. I have only found in this forum + google only one picture of a silver M40i with Crest Dark wheels. Anyone else gone with AEZ and has pictures to share or has anyone any good rather similarly priced alternatives I should look at(with nice pictures as well 😉)?

Other views or opinions which would be the best looking wheels?

I have, if you look at my posts you can see pics, they recommended a 80/20 gloss/matte mix, similar to what RR is doing now. No complaints.

I have OEM 19's. The IDrive shows a option for 20" the same as the OEM BMW 20" tire options for
245/20 Front
275/20 Rear

Can I go
255/20 Front
265/20 Rear

Is that not a recommended setup for a M40 or any reasons why the rear should really be wider or recommended for 275, and keeping the fronts relatively "skinny" at 245?

Going to replace my 718M with some 19” Konig Rennform and all season tires. Seems like a poor mans OZ Superturismo. I like the look, they are fairly light , pretty cheap, and the hub bore is an exact match. . Will post pics once I have them on. I want something that is more capable of very light off-roading and inclement weather for road trips than the 21” options. Additionally I like that I should be able to get a replacement tire nearly anywhere should I have an issue on a trip.

New shoes. HRE FF11 20x9.0 ET25 F and 20x10.5 ET35 R with 245/45R20 and 275/40R20 tires. Near perfect offsets IMO. It'll look even better with H&R springs installed.

Related note - there is probably a thread on this somewhere, but has anyone installed lowering springs on G01 themselves? I've been getting shop quotes 1.2k to 1.8k for just the labor... :thumbdown. Fronts don't seem overly difficult but I've heard rears require significant interior trim (and seat?) removal.
