Bmw cracking down on piggy backs.

Just saw this SIB today.

If you have a Piggy back (JB4, Dinantronic, etc.) and are still under warranty, and worried about your warranty, maybe reconsider, or make sure you remove it before the dealer lays eyes on it.

Just looking out.

Not surprised. However, I mainly bought my extended warranty to cover electronic stuff, such as the screen/head unit. Things that do break and cost an arm and a leg (headlight assembly, just to name one) are not covered anyway. If something mechanical goes wrong, I guess it's gonna be a case of «pay to play». With an intake, exhaust, downpipe and added bracing, the JB4 might be the least obvious of the modding I intend to do. That said, I will remove it before service (if I keep having my car serviced at the stealership, which I doubt).
