just got a new X3 M40 with the base sound system-looking to upgrade as its pretty bad sound quality. I know this has been discussed before but would appreciate some input. Looking at Bimmertech, Focal, and Match systems.

Anyone with experience here, thoughts appreciated. All seem to be in the 3-4k range for speakers, subwoofer, and amp.

Is the Bimmertech the safe bet because its specific to BMW? I doubt I would want to install myself, but can get an installer to do it for around 600.

Five days later, if you haven't gotten this done, I would go to Car Toys. There's no reason to pay $600 installation when their installation is free.
