Boot twisted/not alligned
Hi All,
My boot recently has stopped closing properly and stops halfway down. I then noticed that the boot is not alligned correctly. I have undone the hinges and tried to adjust it but there is much give on them. Any suggestions please. I have attached photos. |

Any chance someone drove it with something large in the back and left the boot open without tying it down? Hitting bumps with the boot open and letting it bounce up an down could deform the mounting points. Otherwise, for something like that to happen suddenly with no accident would be very odd.

Disconnect struts and see if it closes properly without them.

I am having same problem and I have tried to slacken and adjust by loosing 'Screw 1' as per the Adjusting tailgate pdf, but this only makes adjustments up and down. I can't figure out how to make the adjustments left and right. I didn't attempt to unscrew 'Screw 2'. Am I wasting my time as earlier post says replace the closing strut? Both seem to be working.

I thought that as well, the Sturts did look to be working fine but when I replaced them, everything was ok straight away.
