Highest mileage on front brakes

Suspect this isn’t a record but at 45,000 miles and still on original pads and discs. I don’t do much stop start driving, rear pads replaced at 36,000 miles.

Anyone managed over 50,000 on original front brakes?

I didn't get my rears changed until 50,000 miles. My fronts were changed at just under 65,000 miles however I still had not received the wear sensor notification.

I'll never know, I replaced my dust monsters at 1000 miles with Akebono ceramic brakes. Maybe lost a slight bit of braking performance (only a racetrack driver might notice), gained 95% cleaner wheels between washes.

Presumably the discs/rotors had to be changed up front too?

I am at 82.000km and getting the message to change rear pads within 5k km....

Just checked fronts and i think they are also due for replacement... planned to swap them for 374mm M-Performance brakes anyway.

Do you have and use the dynamic cruise control (Driver's Assistance Package) a lot?

I don’t have dynamic cruise control. I did buy the car used at 16k though. No idea what the previous owner was doing

Over 94k miles and front pads are down to 3mm, but not tripping the wear sensor. Rear were changed around 50k or so.

I am at 40k miles and last pad inspection said 10mm front and rear. I have had 7 BMW's usually keeping them at least 50k miles and never had to replace brakes. I replaced the brakes on my Toyota Tundra at 85k miles and most of the miles on it are towing so I don't go through brakes like some do.

I think this is very person dependent and how they drive. If you drive aggressively I would expect to change them sooner than a person that doesn't.

What I am reading is that the rears go out first vs the front which is strange as the fronts typically should go out first since they stop the full load of the car.

Changed rears around 60,000km give or take. Just passed 100,000km and fronts are going strong. Was expecting to have to replace them but so far so good. Good thing cause I get frustrated every time I try to research brakes and what’ll work best.

Replaced my brakes when new at 120 miles to PowerStop ceramics. No dust. Regular street driver. Pads will be there for a real long time.

Almost all SUVs will use the rears up first as various traction systems pinch the rear brakes and avoid the car diving at the front, always had to change rear pads first on SUVs odd but normal
