BAVSound vs Bimmertech alpha 1
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com Been reading for a couple of days on how HK sucks. Didnt test it on my test drive yesterday, but I am a bit of an audiophile so I am expecting to be thoroughly disappointed. So started looking at threads but didnt see one comparing them. Also didnt see much info on the alpha 1 kit from bimmertech. Does anyone have an experience with the bimmertech? Also looking at some threads on adding a sub and amp. Lots of good info here. Kinda wish the new rig didnt have HK sound, couldnt find an X3M that didnt have it. |

Not on this platform, but on a f15 bimmertech is far better. I have a sense, regardless of your choice, the newer HK amps are the real limiting factor. If I were you, reach out to Kevin at Integral Audio and ask him how close he is to wrapping up his G01/F97 soundstage project. Tell him Dennis from the forums said hello :>).

HK is standard and unchangeable in the M platform. I cant wait to replace this POS low powered amp that BMW cucked us with. They skimped on a lot of things that other lower end cars have in spades. 100K and the damn hood latch breaks if you look at it.

I guess I will have to hear a '22-'23 soon. Wondering if the amp was downgraded post covid. My 2020 sounds better than any other HK I have had, including the F30 and G07.

If you are an Audiophile, the closest plug n play system that I recommend is MATCH Audio system with Amp upgrade.
I've sold and installed a few sets on M8 and M5 with HK, and customers been super happy with it.
