Hi guys and girls got a x3m40d with wireless charging, does any one know what the purpose of the little hole to the right hand side.. Charging the key is a nightmare as it slips around too much and wondered if this was to hold the key but nothing happens..

Related, but off-topic question - Can you charge the key fob on the wireless charging pad?

I use it to store a coiled up charging cable. It is a terrible change pocket since it is hard to get any coins that go into it back out.

You can also use a micro-USB cable. Charges faster and doesn't get so hot!

Ah, we're talking about a display key. Now I understand. Thanks for that info. fwiw, the display key is not available on US X3/4s.

It holds my non-display key perfectly, but there's no reason to put it there.

what VMMVMMM's user avatarVMMVMMM said. To hold the normal key.
And yes, you can charge the display key wirelessly or using a cable (mine was provided with the key).

It would have been better if you could have charged the key in the hole. My display key, slips around on the wireless charging mat and if not pretty much spot on doesn't charge. The light turns from blue (charging) to orange (not charging).

Exacatly, its a waste and would have been sensible to charge the display key this way as the flat charging mat is a waste of time as the key keeps sliding off, I use a wireless charger periodically at home..

Thanks for the input everyone just confirms I am semi sane..
