Hi All,

I tried to see if anyone had any clever solutions without luck, trying to remove the handle on the seat extender at the front of the seat of my wife's X3. We accidentally snag it all the time and it's really annoying. My wife and I both keep it in all the way, so I'd like to get the handle out of there.

It appears it can pop out, but I didn't want to push my luck and brake anything. I also believe since it is spring loaded, that I will have to put something back on to keep it locked into place.

Probably not a common request, but just curious if anyone else found a solution or has tips on disassembly without cracking any of the plastic.

My wife HATES the handle. Shes short, 5'2", and it hits the back of her leg, its the one things she cant stand about the car. Otherwise she loves it. I never notice it, im 6'5 so i dont worry about it when i drive it.

Im trying to find anyway to get rid of it or get an upgraded seat with power thigh support instead of that manual thing.

I will end up tinkering with it the older the car gets. Just don’t like screwing with something that new, but it is very irritating. If I end up coming up with a solution I will post it.

I just get worried trying to pop out some of these pieces and having them crack.

Ditto the above, same here with my Wife, 5’2” and she hates it, nearly always hitting it until the bumper is fully extended. Also the uncomfortable seat, the only 2 things she doesn’t like, but mentions them a lot. I really don’t want to change the car just because of these two small, but very irritating and annoying issues. I LOVE it btw
