I recently picked up my new 2022 BMW X3 sDrive30i and I absolutely love it! The driving experience, comfort, and features are fantastic. Thank you to everyone who suggested I stick with this model—your advice was spot on!

However, I've noticed a slight issue when using Apple CarPlay: there is a noticeable delay when I change songs or use gesture controls. The response time is slower than expected, which is a bit frustrating.

Has anyone else experienced this issue with Apple CarPlay? If so, are there any solutions or adjustments I can make to reduce this delay? I'd appreciate any advice or tips from those who have faced and resolved similar problems.

Gesture control does have a delay. I use it all the time (to the extent that I sit in my other cars furiously twirling my finger with no result) but the delay, especially on volume changes, is noticeable.

What phone and version? The only real issue that I've ever had related to Carplay being slow were directly related to my phone...

Gesture controls are junk... so just forget about those.

That’s completely normal. All software has processing time for inputs made and considering the vehicles UI is having to communicate with your phone those ‘delays’ are expected.
