Noise releasing gas pedal
Hi,
There is a noise coming frontside when I release gas pedal like "whirr" or "shirr" it takes several seconds. it is like something is keeping rotating then stopping gradually after several seconds. I have tried it also when the car is stopping position and gear is in N and I didn't hear same noise. Hence I don't think it is turbo voice. do you have such a noise? can it be a differential or transmission problem? Or simply normal? The car is 2011 x3 2.0d regards. |

Yep, I get a noise too... but not for "seconds", maybe a second.
My car is a 35i Sounds neat if you ask me.

It is the turbo. Similar noise I get in the Jeep and Land Rover too, but all at slower speeds when you release the gas pedal . Nothing to worry about. Drove Jeep 240,000 kms, the LR 100,000 km doing that noise.

Definitely sounds like the turbo! That is an awesome noise. My gas pedal makes a creaking noise when I push it down, which sounds like a spring.
