How to send destinations from the "new" Google Maps?
Ever since Google Maps changed to the current format, I've been unable to find out how to send destinations to my x3's Navi... Does anyone know how? Or perhaps this was overlooked in the redesign?
There is no "More" link anymore that allows you to send the address to your car. At least I haven't not been able to find it. :-/ |

Last time a looked a few weeks ago I couldn't find it either. I think that's currently missing from the new design - but they plan to add it back in at some point.

They removed the function in the old version of Google maps and supposedly are going to bring it to the new version soon. The BMW remote app for android has stopped working.

If you click on the ? at bottom of new Google maps it will give you the option of going to older version. Put in your directions and click the link icon, it will give you the option of sending to car. I am going on a road trip to Florida and sent my trip directions to the X3 this morning... hope this works in other countries ....

Alternatively use the BMW Routes website-
https://www.bmw-routes.com/uk/en/index.jsp Its a bit slow calculating routes. BUT it does allow you to add waypoints. Once you've setup your route then either use USB to transfer OR I use connected drive to import to the X3 Just working out how to reverse the direction of an imported route so I can return home down the same route. Any ideas out there?? |
