Trunk Railing Adaptive Fastening System alternatives?
Recently acquired a used 2021 X3 M40i.
I understand the "Trunk Railing Adaptive Fastener System" aka part 51477294566 has been discontinued. Found various older posts of members migrating fasteners from older/other cars ( audi, vw, etc ), but obviously not ideal when trying to get something functional brand new. Besides trying to find the bmw part on ebay ( doesnt seem like there are any ), are there any alternatives which are compatible with the rails? |

FWIW I got one last September or something like that from the dealership. They were actually able to order one for me even though online I couldn't find anything.

Do you like it? Was it worth it though? I'm curious which dealer did you order from, maybe I can contact them too. What was a total cost with shipping and tax? I can't find them online either, says "discontinued" on all of them. Thanks |

I have had it off for a while now though since the road trip when I had to really fully load the car and never really put it back on just because and when I go grocery shopping, I do wish I had it on so stuff stops sliding around everywhere in the trunk. I got mine from Tulley BMW of Manchester in NH, picked it up there I think I paid something like 100? 115? It was originally quoted to be higher, but they randomly gave me a discount and they gave a bit more discount for me being a BMWCCA member. And no tax here in NH.
