steering wheels
good morning all,
after some info again , my steering wheel is very shiny on one side and looking to replace, im looking on eBay but I don't want to get caught out and not be able to send back if wrong. any options? |

If it's just shiny, have you tried cleaning it? It's usually shiny from hand oils from where it always gets held. Many leather cleaners are not sting enough to cut those oils. I have found Blue Magic leather and vinyl cleaner - at most auto parts stores - works great. Turns it satin again.

yes they are higher priced. . . . better kit ! did one other mfg's kit .... terrible! I've done 6 different vehicles with WS covers, some new vehicles to save the original surface, and some on used to cover age and wear . . . . all fit excellent. And yes it does take "patience", and time. took me >3 hrs on first one. Haven't put one on the X3 as yet, but its on the short list. I've never stitched a wheel leather as the photo / video above shows . . . to me that looks bad. always have done the baseball stitch . . . yeah more time and more patience !
