Trunk not opening automatically
Got a very small tap on the bumper and had the bumper repainted. Afterwards the trunk doesn't open automatically when pressing the trunk release button.
Before: - When holding the trunk release button, the door would eject and lift itself up automatically - After trunk is closed, I usually hear an additional motor sound as if the trunk is getting sucked in, sealing it. Now: - When holding the trunk release button, I hear the unlock click, but the door doesn't go up automatically. Seems like it doesn't eject - If I life the trunk gently just a little bit, the trunk would lift up all the way automatically. As if it's detected it's been ejected. - When trunk is closed, I don't hear any additional motor sounds sucking the trunk in. The body shop only touched the bumper to repair it. Is the trunk supposed to be ejected a little bit for the lift arms to take over? Body shop is suggesting my liftarms could be worn but it seems fine going up. I'm just not getting the eject/pulling in effect it seems. |

Also possible you suffer from bad software level. My F10 (shares same hardware) would only open a few inches. After dealer updated software, everything was working.
