Everyone said the X6 was going to be a failure. While that may be true if you're just looking at the total number of sales, you can bet BMW made a ton of money. Low development and manufacturing costs and charge a $5-7k premium over the X5 for what is essentially the same car with a different shell. You don't need to be a mathematician to see the huge monetary benefits BMW is reaping.
