I also saw it's an option on the UK site as well. I wanted the Display Key but if this is what we'll be getting then I'm perfectly fine with it. What do you guys think? |
from what im reading so far, digital key (i.e. the NFC card + ability to use your phone to start the car) is removed. the UK site has the deletion of this and it cannot be unchecked.
i have no idea if display key is provided. tbh the display key is another keyfob which im not interested in. i simply want the ability to unlock and drive off with my car while only wearing my watch.
seems like BMW is getting rid of the display key for all X3/X4 models due to the chip shortage… but i have yet to see another other vehicles in the line up that are being effected by it.
and there have been no definitive answers from BMWNA as the order guides havent been sent out yet.
