I have used winter wheels for years now and always got a very good used price for oem wheels meaning that the “cost of ownership” is not bad especially taking into account reduced wear on Summer tyres and a bit less chance of damage (more likely on My former M3 with the devils wheels).
Yes - I have to tell insurance company. They charge for winter tyres and different alloys!

This is actually my 4th set of winter wheels. I have sold on all my previous sets at good prices. They are a luxury, but the cost of ownership is lower as there is still a value in the used wheels. They sell quickly here in Scotland!
