Yes, I’d be the same - my precious wheels would be tucked up all cozy for the winter. I know the dealers offer this service; does anyone go for it, and is it worthwhile?
There are lots of threads and hundreds of subsequent posts regarding winter wheels and tyres on this forum, so I’m going to have to dedicate the time to delve and hopefully choose a good rim and tyre combination. I like the idea of saving my 21” rims from the crap winter (salty) weather, not to mention sharing the tyre load which will give the 21’s extended life.
There’s a fairly decent wheel specialist nearby... I don’t know whether to get a set of non BMW rims, or stick with OEM rims? At this stage I don’t even know whether I’d get the biggest choice of winter tyres in a 19” or a 20”.
If I find anything useful I’ll post it for the benefit of others who may be considering the same.
